Newsletter. Monday April 16th 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back. I hope you had a lovely Easter break.

At the end of last term we said goodbye to Mrs Ramsdale who left to start her maternity leave. I will keep you posted!!

Welcome back to Mrs Canton who has returned from her maternity leave to teach Badger Class with Mrs Hellier. Mrs Hellier will teach Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoon and Mrs Canton will teach Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning.

Today we are launching our Read for Good Sponsored Read. Read for Good is a charity that supplies books and storytellers to children in hospital, including Southampton General. The challenge will run for 2 weeks. If you would like to join in please help your child to get as many sponsors as possible, and to read as many books as they can. It is all about encouraging reading for fun. Also for every £100 pounds of money raised for the charity, our school will receive £20 of free books to support our school library. Please read the letter attached to your child’s sponsorship card for further details.

YEAR 2 SPORTS AMBASSADORS

This week Mr Byrom and colleagues are taking some of our Year 2 children to join in gymnastics and cricket activities with other schools. I am sure they will have a great time and represent our school superbly.
