Newsletter. Week beginning Monday September 17th 2018.

Dear Parents and Carers,

INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHS

The school photographer will be in school to take individual photographs on Friday this week. We will arrange for siblings within the school to be photographed during the school day. If you would like your child/children photographed with a sibling not attending this school, the photographer will be ready from 8.15 am in the Music & Drama Room to take their photograph. Please ensure your child is wearing their correct school uniform.

CONTACT DETAILS

If any of your contact details have changed over the summer holidays, please call into the school office, or email adminoffice@shakespeare-inf.hants.sch.uk. Later in the term we will be rolling out a new application that you can download to your mobile phone, or access via the internet to check and update contact details. Details will follow soon about this new service called Parent App Lite.

PARENTS EVENING

Parents Evenings will be on Monday, 8th October and Tuesday, 9th October. You can book your slot with your child’s teacher via our online payments system, www.scopay.com. Parents of Year R children will have received a letter last week about how to register for this system.

Please note, if you are logging into scopay.com via a smartphone, please do not use the Tucasi mobile site as it does not support Parents Evening functionality as yet. Instead, select ‘Cancel’ on the prompt and load the full scopay.com site. Please see the attached guide to booking a slot.

JEANS FOR GENES DAY – THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH

Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder. Monies raised on Jeans for Genes Day fund the work of the charity and provide grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.

If you would like to support this, your child may wear jeans or other non -uniform trousers to school. They still must wear their school top, (sweatshirt or cardigan) and school shoes. If your child would like to participate please send in a donation towards this very good cause.

HOME LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

This week your child will bring home their unique user names and passwords for our online learning programs. This will enable you and your child to access the wonderful learning resources of Purple Mash, My Maths and Bug Club via our school website. On our school website go to the Children’s tab and click Learning Links to access each of them. We hope you enjoy using them.
