Dear Parents and Carers,

 

 

JEANS FOR GENES DAY – FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd.

Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder.

Monies raised on Jeans for Genes Day fund the work of the charity and provide grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.

If you would like to support this, your child may wear jeans or other non -uniform clothes to school with their school top and sweatshirt or cardigan, for a donation to the campaign. PLEASE NOTE JEANS OR OTHER NON UNIFORM CLOTHING ONLY DUE TO INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS BEING TAKEN ON THE SAME DAY, HENCE SCHOOL UNIFORM REQUIRED ABOVE THE WAIST. Thank-you.

 

SCHOOL INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHS.

School individual photographs will be taken on Friday of this week. Siblings in school will be photographed together during the school day. If you would like other siblings to be photographed please arrive outside the music and drama room from 8.15am.

 

PE KIT.

Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school every day. PE is part of the National Curriculum therefore children need the right clothing to access this subject. Thank-you.

 

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS.

We have allocated places in our after school clubs to the children in Year 2 and are now in a position to open the remaining spaces to children in Year 1 as well.

We have limited places in Monday Multi sports and in Wednesday and Thursday Football Clubs. If your child is interested please come to the office for more information.

 

EARLY BIRD AND BREAKFAST CLUBS.

Please ensure that you pay in advance on the online payments system when you are using this service. We will remind you if you have any amounts outstanding via email or letter. Please ensure prompt payment is made. Thank-you.

 

VACANCY FOR A SCHOOL CLEANER.

We have a vacancy for a cleaner to work after school 3.15 – 5.00. It is a 52 week contract and starts from Monday October 2nd. Details for the post can be found on our website under vacancies.

 

UNAUTHORISED ABSENCE.

Please note that HCC have updated their guidance with a statement explaining the legal position following the Supreme Court Judgement in the summer term. We have also attached a copy of the guidance on penalty notices.

Lunchtime clubs start in school for year 2 (information only no cost to parents)

Friday 22 September

Jeans for Genes Day-children can come to school in jeans with their school jumper or cardigan on. They must have their school jumper or cardigan on as we have individual photos (shoulders up) being taken which require the children to appear to be in their school uniform above the waist.
