Dear Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to announce that Mrs Ainsworth had a baby boy last week, Theo, weighing in at a healthy 7lb 8oz.
All three year groups have their sports afternoons this week. We look forward to seeing you. Please refer to your letter about your child’s sport afternoon. If needed these are available on the website in the letters section. We will be managing the sports afternoons carefully re the weather- we will be using the shaded areas and ensuring the children drink plenty of water and have hats on. Please ensure your child has a water bottle and hat in school at all times. Thank-you.
Next week- Monday 26th – Friday June 30th 2016.
The challenge is to get as many children as possible scooting to school every day from 26th -30th June 2017! The three schools with the highest average number of children scooting will win a Scooterpod. Everyone participating will receive a My Journey sticker and one lucky pupil from each winning school will win a family day out in Hampshire. If your child would like to scoot to school during that week then please note the following:
All children must be accompanied to school by a responsible adult
When on site children must walk round to their class. Scooters must NOT be ridden on site.
Children and adults must keep to the paths and NOT go onto the school field, play-trail or all- weather surface.
All scooters must be taken home in the morning and NOT left on the school site
Apologies for the late notice of this event, but we have only just received the information ourselves.
Our Family Fun event will take place on Friday 14th July, 3.15 -5.15pm. There will be lots of stalls and things to buy, but we will need volunteers to be on the stalls. Everything will be set up for you, so if you are able to assist for half an hour during the afternoon, please let Mrs Kesterson know, we would be very grateful. Also, if any families have a small gazebo we can borrow to put stalls under, please also contact Mrs Kesterson . We need quite a few! Many thanks.
I would like to say a very big thank to everyone for taking part in the Readathon sponsored reading challenge. We raised an amazing £507 for the charity, and will receive £101.40 in rewards to be spent on books for our school. Well done! Thank-you to Mrs Daniel, our librarian (amongst other roles in school!), for organising. I know the children really enjoyed it.
St Peter’s next Messy Church is on Sunday June 25th at 4pm. Lots of fun activities, songs etc. Free refreshments and hot dogs and potato wedges (though donations are welcome). Learn about Joseph and his life and dreams. Their summer fayre is on Saturday July 1st from 12-2pm.
We have had complaints from neighbours near to the school about parking. Please ensure you park courteously and not across driveways. Thank-you.
