Newsletter. Week beginning Monday December 3rd 2018.

Dear Parents and Carers,

NEW NEWS:

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR.

What a super time everyone had. I would like to sincerely thank all of our SHINE committee for their huge effort leading up to the bazaar and indeed over the year buying goods and planning for the event. Thank-you to: Deb Parsons, Julie Wartnarby, Liz Houghton, Jane Aslet and not forgetting Santa himself!!

A special thank-you to Sarah Burdfield and Susan Bunyan who designed Santa’s beautiful grotto.

WAVE 105 MISSION CHRISTMAS APPEAL

Once again we are supporting the Wave 105 Mission Christmas appeal to try and ensure every disadvantaged child in our region has a present to open on Christmas Day. If you would like to send in an unwrapped gift for a primary school aged child by Friday December 14th,  that would be fantastic. Please bring them to the school office. Many thanks for your support.

CHRISTMAS POST BOX

Our school Christmas post-box opens from tomorrow, Tuesday December 4th  until Monday December 17th. It will be on the table by the front door. If your child would like to post Christmas cards to their friends please ensure that the envelope has the recipients’ full name and their class name. We will have some wonderful Year 2 children who will be our “posties” and deliver to each class each day.

Please note that we are not able to give out class name lists.

CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES- COLLECTIONS

Each year at the end of every performance we have a collection for chosen charities. This year the money will be divided between the NSPCC and The Dogs Trust.

CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES

Year R have their performances this week on Thursday December 6th at 2.00pm and Friday December 7th t 9.30am. Please bring your tickets along.

A reminder that no other children will be allowed into the hall for the performances. The crèche opens 15 minutes before the start of the performance. If you haven’t already signed up to use the crèche please contact the office and they will be happy to help. Please arrive promptly in the hall as we will be starting on time. Thank-you.

PARK AND STRIDE

As you may be aware, the school is working very hard to try to reduce congestion at the school gates. We hope that by doing this, the school gates will be a safer place, thus enabling more parents to walk their children to school. We are therefore setting up a Park and Stride scheme and really hope that most parents will use it to make the area around school safer for all our children. Further details on this scheme will be sent out today. Many thanks.

CHILDREN IN NEED

We raised £256.67. Well done and thank-you everyone!
