Dear Parents and Carers,

 

YEAR R: STORY TELLER

In support of their current project, Once Upon a Time, Year R will be enjoying a visit from a professional story teller on Tuesday. We hope this further prompts a love of books and stories. I am sure they will love it! The cost is £2.55 per child. We would warmly welcome voluntary contributions towards the cost of this lovely event.

 

YEAR R: INVITATION TO PARENTS TO COME IN AND SHARE A STORY

Parents and carers of children in Year R are warmly welcome to come in and share a story with their child as part of their current project, Once Upon a Time. Dates and times as follows:

 

Monday November 12th 2.45 – 3.15pm BEE CLASS

 

Tuesday November 13th 2.45 – 3.15pm LADYBIRD CLASS

 

Wednesday November 14th 2.45 – 3.15pm BUTTERFLY CLASS

 

Please come around to your child’s class in the usual way.

 

YEAR 2 UKULELE PERFORMANCE FOR PARENTS

This term year 2 children are beginning to learn to play the ukulele. On Friday November 23rd parents and carers of year 2 children are warmly invited to come along and watch a short performance by each class. The performances are in the hall and will start promptly. We cannot offer a crèche so well behaved siblings are welcome to attend.

 

1.30 – 2.00 Otter class

2.00 – 2.30 Fox Class

2.30 – 3.00 Owl class

 

YEAR R FAMILIES: NEXT STEPS FOR PARENTS : PRIMARY BEHAVOUR SERVICE WORKSHOP

Primary Behaviour Service are offering a workshop for parents of Year R children. These are very informative and provide lots of useful advice and strategies. Please see attached information. Please return the reply slip by this Friday November 9th.

 

YEAR 1 VISIT FROM EASTLEIGH MUSEUM

On Thursday Year 1 will be enjoying a workshop led by Eastleigh Museum in support of their current project Dinosaur Detectives!

 

NO AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Please note there will be no Football Club Wednesday or Tennis Club Thursday this week due to our Book Fair.

 

BOOK FAIR

Don’t forget to visit our book fair this week. With over 150 titles to choose from and books up to 75% off, there should be plenty of bargains to be had!. The hall will be

open for you to attend with your child on Wednesday November 7th  and Thursday November 8th from 3.15- 4.15. We look forward to seeing you there!

CHRISTMAS PERFROMANCES, TICKETS AND CRECHES

Letters went home last week with details of our Christmas performances, how to select your tickets and crèche details. Please return the relevant forms to school as soon as possible. If your form has not been received by November 16th we will allocate tickets for you. If you have any questions please speak to the school office who will be happy to help. Please note only two tickets per child will be allocated.

 

POPPIES ON SALE

We will be selling poppies in school from Monday 5th November until Friday November 9th.  If your child would like to buy a poppy they can bring money to school and Year 2 children will go around to the classes each day to sell poppies.

 

CHRISTMAS CARD ORDERS

The last day for orders will be Wednesday 14th November 2018. Many thanks.

 

YEAR R 2019/2020

If you have a child who was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2019. You can apply online at https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions

Applications are now open, and closed at midnight on 15th  January 2019.

 

YEAR 2 PARENTS

Year 2 Parents will receive a letter from HCC today about applying for your child’s Year 3 place. The online application process is now open, and will close at midnight on 15th January 2019.
