How well are our children doing?

We were delighted with another year of amazing results across the school especially in SATS. Attendance on the whole has been good. Nationally penalty notices are now enforceable for unauthorised absence or lateness. Attendance certificates will now be given to children whose attendance is 95% or above as this is our school target and constitutes good attendance.

The SEN report showed that the purchase of screening tools are helping teachers pinpoint issues at an earlier stage.

What’s happening in the curriculum?

Clare Upton Jones and Sarah Kesterson are providing much needed non contact time for senior staff and subject leaders in order for staff to fulfil their duties beyond the classroom. Year 1 have reviewed their project for next half term and have changed it to an exciting project all about dinosaurs!

How are we, as a Governing Body supporting our school?

Caroline  Kelson is happy to continue as Chair of Governors for one more year.  Sarah Bain will continue as Vice Chair.

The governors have booked training regarding the New Ofsted Framework.  We have governors in link roles with good understanding of these areas. We reviewed the results from the parental survey and were pleased to see such positive feedback.  There are some suggestions to take on board on with the planned expansion.
