Newsletter - Week beginning Tuesday May 7th 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

DATE CHANGE FOR YEAR R

Parents and carers of children in Year R please note that the dressing up as a Pirate day is now Friday May 24th  NOT the 22nd. Thank-you.

LOCAL NOROVIRUS OUTBREAK

You may have heard on the local news that Thorndon Secondary School in Chandlers Ford closed last week due to an outbreak of the Norovirus. We have infection control protocols in place in this school as a matter of course. Staff have been asked to remind the children to wash their hands thoroughly and we have increased the use of anti-bacterial hand gel. Please could you ensure your child knows the importance of washing their hands after using the toilet and please check their fingernails are short and clean.

WELL DONE AND THANK-YOU!

Last week 10 of our Year 2 children attended a gymnastics festival at Fair Oak Infant School. They represented our school superbly, were impeccably behaved and presented their gymnastics skills very well indeed.

Thank-you to Mr Byrom for organising the trip and taking the children, along with Miss Vane and Mr Hunter.

Well done to:
Bradley Attree, Jacob Calder, Mithra Madanan, Laura Stanislavova, Michael Gurney,    Isla Mills, Megan Thorpe, Eloise Warbrick, Autumn Allen, Carlos Jeffcot Calzado.
