PE kits in School

Friday 4th September

Dear Parents and Carers,

For the foreseeable future, due to COVID-19, on the days on which your child has a long PE session, they should wear their weather appropriate PE kit to school.

We are doing this because:

  • It will raise the profile of PE in school and help children understand the importance of sport in leading an active, healthy lifestyle.
  • It will maximise time spent on physical activity, by cutting out time spent on changing.
  • It will cut down the amount of time children are in close proximity to one another not having to get changed.
  • PE kits can be washed more regularly rather than staying in bags until the end of half-term.
  • There will be no need to send in additional PE kit.
  • It will even out wear and tear on uniforms and PE kits, making school uniform last a little longer, and getting maximum wear out of PE kit.

Please ensure that all children have the correct kit so that they look smart during the school day as well as being ready for PE.

On their long PE session only, your child can wear their PE T-shirt, plus their school jumper, coat and either sports leggings or sports tracksuit bottoms (with branding discrete as possible) for warmth.
